Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Apple has introduced iOS 17 at WWDC 2023. This iPhone operating system offers many interesting new features. Unfortunately, not all iPhone users can enjoy the iOS 17 update.
The new operating system for iPhone brings some minor improvements. The focus appears to be on 4 aspects, namely communication, connectivity and the use of artificial intelligence (AI) technology.
In terms of communication, iOS 17 now presents special features in FaceTime. Users can leave voice messages when the FaceTime call is not answered by the person they are talking to.

Apart from that, there is also a ‘Contact Poster’ feature which allows users to set a certain appearance when contacted by other people via telephone.
In terms of connectivity, there is an update accompanying the AirDrop feature. Named ‘NameDrop’, this new feature can share telephone numbers and emails by holding two iPhones close together.
Apart from adding features, iOS 17 also presents 2 new applications. The first is ‘Journal’. As the name suggests, this application will collect precious moments as reminders.
The next application is StandBy. By activating it, users can collect Live Activities, Widgets, Smart Tracks in one information display on the screen in standby condition. iPhone can now be used like an alarm clock while sleeping.
iPhone that can use iOS 17
Apple’s official website displays a list of iPhones that will receive the iOS17 update. Some iPhones that previously could still be upgraded to iOS16 are now no longer able to use Apple’s latest operating system.
