Christian Hidanata: athletes should not often play with gadgets
Kudus (ANTARA News) – Indonesian badminton legend Christian Hadinata said that athletes should not play with communication devices (gadgets) too often so they can focus more on training.
“When training, athletes must not hold cellphones,” said Christian at Djarum Jati Sports Hall, Kudus, Jatenng, Wednesday.
According to the man known as Koh Chris, athletes should leave all communication devices in their rooms.
“Once you enter the field, all communication devices should stay in your room. If there is something urgent, just tell them to call the secretariat,” said PB Djarum, men’s doubles coach coordinator.
He regrets the current condition where athletes often lose focus on training because they are busy playing with their gadgets.
Christian gave an example, three hours of training time can be cut a lot when athletes play on their cellphones.
“When training, for example, take a break, sit down and play on your cellphone. Compromises like that make athletes lose focus because they play on their cellphones a lot. That must be prohibited,” stressed Christian.
